Palo Duro Canyon (Room 231)

Lollie – Today we took a six mile hike to the lighthouse rock formation of Palo Duro Canyon. It was really fun, because we got to go all the way up to a platform at the top of the lighthouse. It was really windy! It was a fulfilling experience, because it was really hard to get to the top and even harder to get down!

Brianna – We woke up really early and had breakfast. Then we got on a bus for like thirty minutes. Then we went to Palo Duro Canyon, but it wasn’t open yet. So, we took a really bumpy ride. We saw some deer and turkies. By the time we got back, it was open. Then we walked around it for about an hour and a half, had lunch, and took a six mile hike on the Lighthouse Trail. It was really hard to get to, and I fell on the way up. We went all the way back down from where we came. Then we drive back to the hotel, and now we’re relaxing by the pool.

Sydney – We drove to Palo Duro Canyon. I was really tired. We hiked almost 8 miles! It was really long, and we saw the lighthouse rock formation. It was fun! We learned a lot about Palo Duro Canyon. Then we came back to the hotel, and I fell asleep on the bus. We’re about to go to the Big Texan Steak Ranch.
