Today we went to the Palo Duro Canyon. The canyon was very vast, and arid. Then we went on the CCC trail which had four bridges, built by the CCC also it was 1.5 miles. After the hike, we ate at the trading post. We mostly had hamburgers, but some had grilled cheese or hot dogs. Next we headed out on another hike to see the lighthouse formation. The hike to the formation was 3 miles and very long, but worth while. The formation was at least three hundred feet tall, and orange with gypsum. The hike back felt a little shorter because we walked at a quicker pace. We took the bus back to the hotel. We had an hour forty-five minutes to write in our journal, and get ready for dinner. We ate at the Big Texan Steak House for dinner. For dinner we had a choice of chicken or steak. After we ate, we went to the gift shop and they gave us ten dollars to spend. Lastly we came back to the hotel.
