Last Day at Palo Duro
Today was the last day at Palo Duro Canyon. Although it was the last it was in fact one of the best. First, a nature hike to keep with nature, this hike included tracks, rivers, hiking (obviously), and climbing on big rocks. Second, (our group's favorite) we went horse back riding. On the horses' backs we covered a lot of ground in just a couple of minutes. The horses were very obedient , although some (like Jackson's horse Cash) were not content in following the path. The group before us and after us were not nearly as lucky, they couldn't control the horses. The third group had a very exciting time! Last, but not least, we had another hike that was exactly a mile long. For lunch we went to the trading post inside the canyon. Then after lunch we went to the Don Harrington discovery center (A.K.A science museum). We had sooo much fun, and was very interactive. After the science museum we went back to the hotel where we had about an hour of free time (calling parents, playing games, going to the pool, etc.). We went La Fiesta Grande (the large party) for dinner. We celebrated James' BIRTHDAY and had soppapias (for dessert). We loaded the bus and went back to the hotel where we are now! We have a great adventure week, but we can't wait to be back. SEE YOU TOMORROW!
