The Lighthouse Hike
Our day started out early. We woke up, got ready, and went to breakfast. It was really good and we were ready to start the day. We got in the bus and rode to Palo Duro Canyon. We went on a 2 mile hike and it was a great way to start off our day. We went to lunch and had really good food. The fries were delicious and covered in salt and oil. We then went on a 6 mile hike this time. We made sure to drink lots of water! It was really cool to see the formation of the rock. You could see each layer. It was hot, but once we saw the view from the top it was worth it. Some people got to climb even higher if they wanted to. We were tired when we got back, but we were overjoyed when we got to go swimming. After swimming, we went to the Big Texas Steak House and saw a giant plastic cow in front. The food was great, especially the steaks. It was really fun overall and we are glad we went on the hikes!
